I will be hosting a class on how to describe a wine and evaluate its nuances, aromas, flavors, and overall character.  This practice is excellent for improving your ability to assess a wine for its overall style and profile.  With practice, you can teach your nose and palate how to pick up aromas, flavors, and even perhaps a sense of place or how the wine was made.  Here you will learn some of the basic skills on how to work your nose and palate muscles to be a better educated wine lover, and write a tasting note to describe the wine.

This class includes a tasting of 4 wines and light snacks.

Cana’s Feast - 750 W Lincoln St., Carlton, OR

Started in 2009, Italy in the Valley is a celebration of wine, food, music, and friendship. Wineries from throughout Oregon gather on the lawn at Cana's Feast to highlight their Northwest take on the classic wines of Italy. We are also joined by producers of other traditional Italian fare who have a passion for quality. Your entrance fee includes a logo wine glass, wine tastings, lunch, and the opportunity to visit the various vendors.

Join us for an educational class and tasting to explore the country of Leigh’s heritage and influence behind the Lolati Brand, South Africa.

In this ~90-minute class, you will learn about some of the local varietals and regions of this beautiful country. There is a very broad range of grapes grown here, and we will learn about some of the regions that have made South Africa famous for its wine selections. We will also be joined by two special guests…her parents!

Enjoy a flight of six wines accompanied by light bites.
