Chocolate Cherry Cake

This cake is reminiscent of Black Forest gâteau but with more chocolaty depth. The cake's dark chocolate flavor is enhanced by Dutch-processed cocoa powder, which produces a much deeper, Oreo-like chocolaty taste than natural unsweetened cocoa powder. A glossy, cherry-red layer of preserves keeps the crumb moist and tender. Don't forget the actual cherries on top; they'll make you happy. No-Knead Bread

Here is one of my favorite bread recipes, courtesy of Jim Lahey, owner of Sullivan Street Bakery. It requires no kneading, uses no special ingredients, equipment, or techniques, and takes very little effort—only time. You will need 24 hours to create the bread, but much of this is unattended waiting, a slow fermentation of the dough that results in a perfect loaf.
